Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles forward, has acknowledged his season-ending injury after Werder Bremen revealed he would require surgical intervention to address a persistent knee issue.

Club officials stated that Boniface visited a specialist in Austria, who recommended immediate surgery, effectively ending his 2025/26 campaign prematurely.

After the successful operation, the Nigerian international took to social media to share his emotional journey, posting: “For nearly a year, I’ve hidden my pain behind a smile. Only God truly understands the purpose behind this trial.
