Big Brother Naija star Phyna has extended an olive branch to Afrobeat sensation Davido, signaling a possible end to their long-standing feud that began in 2023.
The tension initially sparked when Davido endorsed a controversial tweet criticizing Phyna’s fanbase. The reality TV star responded by questioning his motives during his twins’ birth announcement.
Davido’s dismissive “I don’t know who Phyna is” remark escalated the situation, leading Phyna to sever their Instagram connection with the poignant response: “God knows me.”
During a recent live session, Phyna surprised fans by expressing willingness to reconcile. “I’d love to collaborate with Davido,” she revealed, adding that she’s prepared to publicly apologize while seeking clarity about their misunderstanding.
The entertainer elaborated in pidgin: “If the chance comes to stream together, I’ll grab it. He’s senior to me, no doubt. Before apologizing, we need to trace the root of our quarrel. Maybe Baba Ibeji accidentally liked that comment – he should explain his side. His ‘I don’t know you’ comment might have been misinterpreted.“
