Reality TV sensation Tacha has fired back at critics slamming Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his heated exchange with teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s dominant 4–0 AFCON win against Mozambique on January 5.
Though the exact cause remains unclear, the altercation occurred moments after Lookman provided the assist for Osimhen’s goal. While Osimhen aggressively confronted his teammate, Lookman maintained his composure throughout the incident.
The confrontation sparked widespread backlash on social media, with many Nigerian fans condemning Osimhen’s behavior. However, Tacha took to her X account to defend the Napoli forward, suggesting critics were only targeting him because they’ve “seen his peak.”
The BBNaija alum questioned whether Nigerians recognize Osimhen’s pivotal role in the national team, comparing his importance to Cristiano Ronaldo’s stature in Portugal’s squad. She challenged critics, asking if they would have similarly criticized Ronaldo for displaying the same passion on the pitch.
