Stanley Omah Didia, the Nigerian music sensation better known as Omah Lay, has broken his silence on his debut Grammy nomination.
The artist secured his first Grammy recognition through his chart-topping collaboration with Davido, ‘With You,’ which earned a spot in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Grammy Awards.
In a candid Instagram post, Omah Lay admitted feeling exhilarated by the honor but downplayed its significance, stating awards hold little weight for him.
Despite his personal stance, he passionately rooted for Davido, calling him a genuine ally during his toughest moments.
“This Grammy nomination is wild, ngl—but honestly? Awards don’t move me. Still, I’m rooting hard for OBO. Dude’s been my rock when things got dark,” Omah Lay revealed.
Davido remains Grammy-less despite four prior nominations, including back-to-back nods in the Best African Music Performance category since its 2023 inception.
Mark your calendars: The 2026 Grammys will light up Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 1, airing live on CBS and Paramount+.
