

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a probe into disturbing claims by actor and digital creator Ijoba Lande about a violent encounter with law enforcement personnel.
Shortly after arriving from Britain, the entertainer took to Instagram to describe being attacked by officers who allegedly took his high-end smartphone and a significant sum of foreign currency.
A disturbing video circulated online shows the bloodied content creator recalling the traumatic event alongside concerned companions who encouraged him to seek justice. His emotional account described the confrontation as potentially deadly.
“They almost killed me,” the shaken artist revealed in the widely shared footage that has amplified ongoing discussions about law enforcement misconduct.
Lagos police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi acknowledged the incident via social media, confirming that identified officers were undergoing interrogation as part of an official inquiry.
“The implicated personnel have been located and transported to headquarters for questioning,” Adebisi stated.
“All parties involved are currently providing statements. Updates will follow as the investigation progresses.”
While declining to specify details about when or where the altercation occurred, authorities emphasized their commitment to thoroughly examining the serious allegations.
