Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Gabon’s star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has vowed to leave nothing on the pitch as his team prepares for a decisive 2026 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The high-stakes African playoff semi-final on November 13 will determine which nation advances in the race for global football’s biggest tournament.

Aubameyang played a pivotal role in Gabon’s second-place Group F finish, while Nigeria secured their playoff spot with a dominant 4-0 victory over Benin Republic.

The victorious team will compete in Mexico during March 2026 for one of two available World Cup berths in the intercontinental playoffs featuring six nations.

“Qualifying for the World Cup is our ultimate goal, and that requires winning crucial matches like this,”
Aubameyang revealed in an exclusive interview.

“This is the kind of challenge that ignites my competitive spirit – the chance to make history for Gabon.”
