Controversial entertainer DJ Chicken’s legal representative has urgently appealed to Seyi Tinubu for leniency after the artist was detained for allegedly making offensive comments about the President’s son.
In a widely circulated video, the attorney revealed that DJ Chicken was arrested in Ikeja and is currently being held at the police headquarters, though he suspects DSS involvement.
“This arrest stems from remarks he recently made regarding Seyi Tinubu,” the lawyer explained while pleading for public support.
The legal counsel passionately called out to supporters and influential figures: “We implore all well-wishers, fans, and those connected to the Presidency to join our appeal for mercy. DJ Chicken needs understanding, not punishment.”
Offering context to his client’s actions, the attorney hinted at possible psychological concerns, stating, “He’s not in his best state mentally. This is a personal passion project for me – I saw something in him worth defending.”
While admitting to his client’s missteps, the lawyer maintained, “He’s clearly erred, but we’re begging for compassion. I’m currently reaching out to all possible connections who might intercede with Seyi Tinubu on this matter.”
Neither the DSS nor police authorities have officially commented on these developments as this report goes to press.
