Nigerian music star Raoul Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, recently opened up about his breakthrough moment in the entertainment industry, crediting it to his spiritual experience at the Living Faith Church’s Shiloh event in 2013.
The ‘Shake Body’ crooner disclosed that fellow artist Timaya accompanied him to the religious gathering, where he received divine inspiration for what would become his signature track.
Skales recalled participating in a spiritual exercise where attendees listed seven prayer requests, with the artist repeatedly writing his desire for an internationally successful song.
He attributes the recent viral resurgence of ‘Shake Body’, after FC Barcelona players including Lamine Yamal were spotted dancing to it, as the miraculous answer to those prayers made nearly a decade ago.
Taking to his social media platform, the grateful musician shared: “Back in 2013, @timayatimaya brought me to Shiloh where we were instructed to list seven prayer points… I wrote the same request for a worldwide anthem seven times… Today I’m witnessing this divine blessing manifest through a song that keeps finding new life… Just when people think it’s faded, it resurfaces stronger… All glory to God.”
