Renowned Nigerian entrepreneur and social personality, Pretty Mike, has opened up about a deeply personal chapter of his life in a candid revelation.
During a heartfelt conversation on the In The Company Of Men podcast, the Lagos-based influencer disclosed that he endured s3xual abuse before reaching his teenage years.
The flamboyant personality emphasized the importance of equal parental vigilance for both sons and daughters concerning potential abuse.
He shared, “There’s growing awareness about male victims speaking out regarding s3xual violations during childhood.
“At just 13, I was initiated into s3xual activity by not one, but two different domestic staff members. Did this experience alter my perspective on intimacy? Undoubtedly. While I’ve chosen to move forward without pursuing legal action – especially considering society sometimes views 13-year-olds as nearly mature – cases involving younger children demand immediate attention.
“When children are violated at single-digit ages – 6,7,8 years old – it’s especially traumatic because they lack understanding. My consistent advice to parents? Monitor all your children equally.
“I’ve observed parents exercise extreme caution with daughters when hiring household help, but often overlook sons. This double standard must end. Both genders require equal protection from potential predators.”
