Nigerian music star Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has revealed the difficulties he encountered with event organizers in the initial phase of his musical journey.
During a candid conversation with Famous TV, the “Terminator” hitmaker attributed his success to persistence and an unshakable belief in his craft.
The artist disclosed that early in his career, many promoters dismissed him due to his predominant use of the Yoruba language in his music.
Asake expressed gratitude for staying true to his roots, refusing to abandon his linguistic heritage despite facing industry resistance.
He stated, “My journey to this point has been divinely guided, fueled by confidence, relentless effort, and patience.
There were moments when doors shut simply because I performed in Yoruba. But by God’s grace, I persisted and maintained faith in my vision.
Witnessing my current achievements fills me with immense pride.“
