Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shared his thoughts ahead of their highly anticipated Champions League semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners head into Wednesday’s first-leg encounter with momentum after securing a hard-fought 1-0 Premier League victory over Newcastle United.
Speaking at Tuesday’s press conference, Arteta emphasized the challenge posed by Diego Simeone’s seasoned side.
“We’re preparing for an intense battle,” remarked the Arsenal manager. “Atletico are an experienced, well-organized unit that has earned their place at this stage through consistent European performances sensors.”
The Spaniard added: “While we respect the difficulty of facing them, our squad has proven we can compete at this level. We’ll approach the match with the same determination that’s brought us success across different competitions this season.”
