Actress Annie Macaulay publicly corrected a Lagos nightclub after they displayed her estranged husband’s surname on their LED welcome banner.
A Lagos hotspot quickly adjusted its welcome display after Annie Macaulay expressed disapproval of being introduced as “Annie Idibia.”
The Nollywood star, currently separated from music icon Innocent “Tuface” Idibia, posted footage on her Instagram Stories capturing the initial greeting that used her former marital name.
The clip shows Annie and her companions visibly protesting the identification.
“Not Idibia,” one of her friends emphasized in the original Instagram post.
Annie echoed the sentiment by reposting with a thoughtful “Hmmm.”
Subsequent footage reveals venue staff promptly updating the digital display to read “Welcome Annie Macaulay.”
“That’s right,” the actress affirmed while sharing the corrected version.
