Ann, the longtime confidante of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has been released from custody following a brief detention.
Sources reveal she was freed late Wednesday after the court postponed further hearings to March 5, 2026.
Regina’s elder brother, Sammy, shared updates via Instagram, initially expressing concerns about irregularities in Ann’s legal proceedings. He highlighted a lack of transparency regarding her whereabouts and court arrangements.
“Standard tactics: no contact with counsel, no family notifications, undisclosed courtroom location. Case deferred till March 5th,” he posted earlier in the day.
In a subsequent update, Sammy joyfully announced, “My T.E.D. Ann is finally home.”
The arrest stemmed from allegations by Ned Nwoko, Regina’s former husband, who accused Ann of theft—a claim made amidst ongoing tensions following the couple’s recent separation. Reportedly apprehended in Lagos, Ann was transported to Abuja via private jet for questioning.
This development follows Regina’s highly publicized split from the senator, citing accusations of abuse.
