Angela Okorie Still Detained After Fulfilling Bail Requirements
A Federal High Court in Abuja approved Nollywood star Angela Okorie’s release on Friday, setting bail at ₦5 million with a level 13 civil servant as surety.

Despite fulfilling her bail requirements, actress and singer Angela Okorie remains detained at Suleja Correctional Centre, sparking widespread online debate.

The court’s ruling stipulated that her ₦5 million bail must be secured by a government employee of at least Grade Level 13. Prominent figures, including activist Omoyele Sowore and actor Stanley Ontop, assisted in finalizing the bail process.

However, due to procedural delays, Angela’s release was postponed. Stanley Ontop clarified via Instagram that all conditions had been met but processing concluded too late on Friday.

He reassured fans, stating, “Angela Okorie’s bail has been approved, but the timing delayed her exit. She will be freed from Suleja prison on Monday.”
