Nollywood actor Alesh Sanni has called out fellow actors for their sudden outpouring of grief over the passing of actress Allwell Ademola, questioning why they never supported her work while she was alive.
Allwell tragically passed away on Saturday, December 27, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
In an emotional Instagram video, Alesh revealed that he was supposed to meet Allwell for dinner just hours before her untimely demise.
Expressing frustration over the performative mourning on social media, he stated: “What baffles me is how quickly people rush to share tragic news.
This is heartbreaking! This is unacceptable! Someone could celebrate their birthday, and you wouldn’t even acknowledge them…Yet she was a filmmaker.
“None of you ever promoted her movies, so why flood your pages now? She hadn’t even been gone for an hour before everyone started posting…Why this hypocrisy?”
