Afrobeats star Simi has issued a fiery response to the viral footage capturing Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson’s controversial wardrobe malfunction.

The vocal artist called for legal action against the airline staff responsible for compromising the woman’s dignity during the altercation.

In a passionate Instagram statement, Simi challenged the double standard of penalizing Emmanson for her conduct while excusing those who filmed and disseminated unedited clips exposing her most private moments.

The award-winning musician stressed that circulating the uncensored video constituted an unforgivable privacy violation requiring consequences.

“How does one justify capturing her forced removal, documenting this humiliation in full view, then uploading it without censoring sensitive areas? I demand answers – who shared this footage and why aren’t they being prosecuted? Justice will prevail.”

“Brandishing her exposed body for global consumption, when few actually witnessed the incident firsthand, is equally deserving of punishment. We can’t denounce one offense while ignoring another,” she asserted.

The controversy stems from Ibom Air Flight Q153, where Emmanson allegedly resisted phone protocols during takeoff, triggering a physical confrontation with aviation personnel.

Clips showing the escalating dispute and subsequent removal have ignited social media frenzy, sparking intense debates about passenger rights and ethical reporting.
