Afrobeat sensation Seun Kuti has clapped back at Wizkid following the Grammy-winning artist’s disparaging comments about his wife, Yetunde Kuti, amid their heated online exchange.
The ongoing social media clash between the two musicians intensified after Wizkid resorted to personal attacks, labeling Kuti’s spouse as “unattractive.”
In a fiery live session, Kuti retaliated, condemning Wizkid for dragging family members into their dispute. He emphasized that true men don’t target women and children in conflicts, especially when Wizkid himself is in a relationship with an older woman.
Kuti stated, “Real men don’t bring women and kids into their battles. Wizkid, who dates an older woman, dares to insult my wife? Should I stoop to his level and attack his partner?
“His fans are harassing my child online, flooding her page with hate. But none of this will break me. I want my daughter to face challenges and grow strong, just as I did.”
Kuti also suggested that Wizkid is struggling with personal issues, urging him to find clarity.
“I know you’re going through a lot, bro. You need to rediscover yourself—are you Wiz, Kid, or Big Wiz? You lack identity. Even your nicknames are unoriginal. You still copy me.”

The feud between the two artists intensified after Wizkid, embroiled in a social media spat with Kuti over repeated critiques, resorted to personal attacks, labeling Kuti’s wife as “ugly.”
Seun Kuti, unimpressed by the jab, retaliated in a fiery livestream, slamming Wizkid and his partner, Jada Pollock, for dragging family into their dispute.
Kuti condemned Wizkid for targeting women and children, emphasizing that the singer has no moral ground to insult his wife while dating an older woman.
He stated, “Grown men don’t bring women and kids into their battles. Wizkid, who’s with an older woman, dares to insult my wife? You call my wife ugly—should I stoop to your level and attack yours?
