Nollywood star IK Ogbonna has opened up about his emotional journey following the tragic loss of his longtime friend and fellow actor, Alex Ekubo, before marking his official return to the film industry.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ogbonna shared how profoundly Ekubo’s absence has impacted him, revealing the struggles he faced while trying to adjust to life without his dear friend.
He reflected on the overwhelming support from fans and colleagues during his grieving process, acknowledging their patience as he took time away from the spotlight.
“Nothing has been the same since Alex left us,” Ogbonna confessed in a candid video. “I needed time to process everything—his loss was something none of us saw coming. Each of us has been trying to find our way back.”
Addressing his followers, he added, “Your kindness and strength kept me going. Now, I’m ready to refocus, realign, and get back to what I love. There’s much more to accomplish, and I won’t let his memory fade.”
