Burna Boy and Tems have made history by securing the most Hot 100 appearances among African musicians, thanks to their collaborations on J. Cole’s latest album, ‘The Fall-Off.’
The two Nigerian talents were previously tied with Seether at seven entries each. However, their features on Cole’s project propelled them to eight appearances—an unprecedented feat for African artists.
Tems’ collaboration on ‘Bounce Road Blues’ with Future debuted at an impressive No. 34, while Burna Boy’s ‘Only You’ entered at No. 78, cementing their joint lead.
This year alone, Tems has claimed three Hot 100 spots—’Raindance’ with Dave, ‘What You Need,’ and now ‘Bounce Road Blues’—making her the most-charted African artist in 2026 so far.
Burna Boy, meanwhile, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by maintaining a presence on the chart for six consecutive years—a first for any African musician. His enduring success spans hits like ‘Loved By You’ (2021), ‘Last Last’ (2022), ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ (2023), ‘Only You’ (2026), and more.
