Popular Nollywood star Afeez Owo has opened up about a heated clash with his spouse, Mide Martins, that pushed their relationship to the brink.
The actor revealed the intense argument occurred in 2014, nearly tearing their marriage apart.
During a candid chat on the YouTube show ‘Behind The List,’ Afeez acknowledged the severity of their dispute, blaming social media for amplifying the conflict.
He confessed to mishandling the situation, admitting he feared their union wouldn’t survive the turmoil.
Afeez emphasized that the disagreement could have been resolved privately if not for public interference.
Recalling the incident, he shared, “Back then, gossip swirled that my wife and I had split. In reality, it was our one and only major fight. Luckily, we patched things up, though I take responsibility for my poor reaction.
“I acted out, destroying things, and at one point believed it was over. Social media worsened the mess—what should’ve stayed between us became public drama. Angry, I stormed off and holed up in a hotel for days while Mide aired grievances online. By divine mercy, we healed the rift.”
