Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has opened up about his mindset before Nigeria’s crucial AFCON third-place clash with Egypt this weekend.
The Atalanta winger admitted his focus was still clouded by the heartbreak of Nigeria’s semi-final loss to Morocco earlier this week.
“Honestly, I haven’t even started thinking about the Egypt match,” Lookman confessed in a post-match chat.
“The disappointment from the Morocco defeat is still weighing heavily on me.”
With three goals and four assists in the tournament, Lookman has been one of Nigeria’s standout performers.
All eyes will be on the ex-Everton man as he aims to inspire the Super Eagles to a podium finish against their North African rivals.
