Nollywood star Rose Odika has opened up about her past marital struggles while reaffirming her reputation as one of the industry’s most refined talents.

The veteran actress boldly declared her professionalism in a candid chat with media personality Biola Bayo.

“Let me set the record straight – I maintain the highest standards of decency in this profession,” she asserted during the revealing interview.

Odika shared intimate details about her marriage journey, including a five-year fertility challenge and ultimate separation shortly after welcoming her only child.

“After tying the knot, we faced unexpected hurdles starting a family. Five years passed without conception.

“Our union ended when my daughter was just fourteen months old – she remains my sole blessing,” the actress disclosed.

The screen icon stressed the vital importance of self-preservation, warning: “Toxic marriages destroy lives – they’re never worth the sacrifice.”

She offered blunt advice to partners of actors: “If a man can’t embrace your acting career from day one, he shouldn’t stay in your life.”

Recalling her professional journey, Odika traced her breakthrough to 1993 following her 1989 debut.

“While I began serious acting in ’89, my big break came four years later,” she reflected.
