Popular Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has publicly declared her determination to fight for the custody of her two children following a heated conflict with her ex-husband, businessman and politician Ned Nwoko.
The actress claims that despite already having physical custody, Nwoko has initiated legal proceedings to obtain full custody rights, stripping her of access to the boys.
In an emotional Instagram post, Daniels accused her estranged husband of exploiting their children for publicity, alleging that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her. She also revealed that he terminated all her nannies and coerced them into making false allegations about her behavior.
She wrote, “No mother can truly be happy when forcibly separated from her children. I refused to let this pain consume me, which is why I took my time before making this decision.”
“The constant public display of my children raises serious concerns. For a man with political experience, it’s hard to believe he doesn’t understand how exposing them would attract media frenzy. Is this about parenting or chasing clout?” she questioned.
“I initially avoided addressing this to prevent further drama, but it’s clear he thrives on attention. To call a former senator a ‘content creator’ says everything about his motives.”
“My last conversation with my sons was in November. Since then, Ned fired all my childcare assistants, manipulated them into fabricating stories about me being violent and an alcoholic, and is now legally barring me from seeing my children.”
“Does he genuinely see me as a threat, or is this just about control? I may be young, but I am fiercely devoted to my role as a mother. Whoever thinks I won’t fight for my children is gravely mistaken. This battle is far from over.”
