Renowned Nollywood star Nkechi Sunday recently revealed the surprising reason behind her acting hiatus in an exclusive interview.

During a candid chat on the trending show Curiosity Made Me Ask with Bae U Barbie, the actress disclosed that an unknown benefactor placed her on a lavish ₦1 million weekly payroll to support her career.

She confessed this unexpected financial windfall made her reconsider her Nollywood commitments.



“When I discovered someone was paying me ₦1 million weekly because my acting income was low, I had to step back. Imagine filming a movie that doesn’t even earn me half that amount,” Nkechi revealed.

The actress playfully dodged questions about whether her mystery sponsor remains anonymous today.



“That’s my little secret,” she teased with a smile.
