Nollywood star Mercy Johnson issued a stern warning to online trolls after refuting rumors spread by TikTok influencer Eedie Bliss, who falsely claimed the actress’s husband gifted a lavish home to a pregnant mistress.

Renowned Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has declared legal action against individuals and platforms perpetuating defamatory stories about her personal life. Her statement comes in response to viral allegations made by blogger Eedie Bliss regarding her husband’s alleged infidelity.

The actress broke her silence in an Instagram video on Monday, addressing the controversy after Bliss’s release from custody on January 17, 2026, following public pressure. While expressing gratitude for public support, Mercy emphasized that false allegations would no longer be tolerated.

Mercy revealed, “After much consideration, we’ve chosen to drop the charges against her out of respect for those who intervened. However, moving forward, I won’t hesitate to pursue legal measures against malicious gossip.”

She further stated, “In 2026, I’m shifting gears—online defamation will have serious consequences. Despite my love for fans, the constant attacks on my family must stop.”
