Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly called Portable, has fired back at actress Iyabo Ojo following her recent remarks celebrating single mothers.
The actress, a mother of two, recently applauded single mothers, suggesting that men are now pursuing them because of their personal achievements. She further claimed that children raised by single mothers tend to be more successful.
Portable swiftly countered her stance, asserting that most men are only interested in the financial gains from single mothers rather than genuine relationships.
He went on to remind the actress, whose daughter recently wed a Tanzanian musician, that married women achieve more in life. The singer questioned why Ojo was endorsing single motherhood despite her own family’s traditional marital milestone.
Portable criticized the actress for promoting what he sees as misleading advice, warning that her words could influence young women to make poor life choices regarding marriage.
The Zeh Nation leader didn’t hold back, labeling single mothers as “heartbreakers” and claiming men exploit them financially while prioritizing their wives.
In his fiery retort, Portable painted a grim picture of men using money obtained from single mothers to pamper their spouses at home.
Challenging Ojo’s perspective, he asked if she was encouraging women to have children with multiple partners instead of building stable families.
“What kind of advice is this? Should young girls start having babies for different men just to become single mothers?
One man, one child? Three men, three kids?” he shot back.
Portable don come for Iyabo Ojo over what she said in this video 😭💔 https://t.co/D6WE9dWpZd pic.twitter.com/l7meF973NT
