Nollywood star Doris Ogala has regained her freedom following a two-day detention by the police.
The actress walked out of custody on Monday, days after her controversial arrest, which stirred public outcry.
As Amonpoint News initially revealed, Doris was taken into custody on Saturday after publicly accusing Lagos clergyman Chris Okafor of manipulating her with false marriage assurances, among other claims.
Her detention triggered widespread reactions, with social media influencers like VeryDarkMan demanding justice and her immediate release.
Overwhelmed with gratitude following her release, Doris took to Instagram to express appreciation to activist Omoyele Sowore and internet personality VeryDarkMan for their relentless support.
She captioned her post, “Sowore, my deepest gratitude. And to the king of the streets—thank you.”
