Veteran Nollywood star Bukky Wright has ignited debate with her unfiltered take on men who criticize women for prioritizing financial stability in relationships.
In a recent candid discussion, the award-winning actress asserted that a man should instinctively provide for his partner without needing prompts, emphasizing that supporting one’s woman should be an inherent responsibility.
She elaborated that a man should take pride in ensuring his partner looks and feels her best, as it ultimately reflects his own status. According to Wright, it’s unreasonable to call a woman a “gold digger” simply for expecting a man to fulfill his traditional role as a provider.
When questioned about her stance on men who struggle financially, the actress remained firm, stating that such individuals should focus on improving their circumstances rather than entering relationships they can’t sustain. She added that those unwilling or unable to meet expectations should either stay single or find partners with compatible lifestyles.
