Tragedy struck as actress Hayden Panettiere’s life was cut short by an accidental fentanyl overdose, a South Carolina coroner confirmed Tuesday.

First responders rushed to a Greenville home on August 16 after receiving an emergency call.

Despite intensive resuscitation attempts, the 36-year-old could not be revived.

Toxicology reports revealed a lethal mix of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine in her system.

Authorities noted no evidence of physical injury or altercation.

Panettiere’s intermittent romantic partner Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach were present during the incident.

The pair alerted emergency services, with Brian presenting officers with her prescription medications.

Zach later disclosed that Brian had administered Narcan in a desperate attempt to counteract the opioid effects.

While DEA agents conducted a thorough investigation, local police determined no criminal activity was involved.

The star had been vocal about her battles with substance dependency, tracing her struggles with alcohol and painkillers back to adolescence.

Her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” chronicled her journey through addiction, domestic violence, and postpartum depression.

In a CBS interview last spring, Panettiere expressed hope that her transparency could inspire others facing similar hardships.

“Imperfection is human,” she reflected. “I want people to know they can embrace their truth without fear.”

She had recently shared optimistic updates about her wellbeing, stating she felt healthier than she had in years.
