Nollywood star Austine Emmanuel has publicly criticized Seyi Tinubu, alleging that he is using monetary incentives to drum up backing for his father’s potential 2027 presidential bid.

In a candid Instagram video, Emmanuel called on Seyi to prioritize his father’s lasting impact over political maneuvering.

The actor claimed that many of Tinubu’s supporters are driven by financial rewards rather than sincere confidence in his governance.

Emmanuel insisted that if the current administration were truly effective, there would be no need to “buy” public approval.

He further stated that premature campaigning for re-election ignores Nigeria’s pressing economic hardships.

He remarked, “Seyi Tinubu, your sole focus is securing another term for your father, yet you disregard the historical judgment he’ll face. Those surrounding you won’t speak honestly—they’re only there for financial gain.

“The loyalty you see today is conditional. If President Tinubu’s performance spoke for itself, monetary persuasion wouldn’t be necessary.”

Addressing the newly appointed leaders of the City Boy Movement (CBM), a pro-Tinubu advocacy group, Emmanuel accused socialites Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest of misleading Seyi.

He continued, “Imagine if your father had achieved just one meaningful policy for ordinary Nigerians in four years. These influencers are playing you.

“Behind closed doors, they won’t cast their votes for him. Nigerians are enduring hardship—no food security, no safety, no economic relief. The administration has failed.”
