Abubakar Yakubu, recently elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has been involved in a tragic car collision in Surulere, Lagos, leading to a fatality.
As Amonpoint News previously reported, Yakubu secured victory over Rita Daniels, mother of actress Regina Daniels, in a closely contested AGN election, winning by a slim margin of 116 to 113 votes.
Initial reports indicate that the accident claimed one life, though further details remain unclear.
According to Sahara Reporters, Yakubu is currently being held at Barracks Police Station in Surulere as law enforcement investigates the circumstances of the crash.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the accident or the ongoing investigation.
