Abia State Governor Alex Otti has fulfilled his pledge to assist esteemed Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu by approving the release of ₦25 million for her medical treatment.
The governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Dr. Justice Okey Martins (popularly known as JMartins), confirmed the payment was processed on Wednesday directly to the actress’s healthcare facility.

In a social media update shared Thursday, JMartins praised Governor Otti for swiftly acting on his commitment to support the ailing screen icon. The timely intervention comes after reports surfaced about Nwosu’s deteriorating health condition earlier this week.
The entertainment aide highlighted how the governor’s compassionate response exemplified leadership with a human touch, noting that such gestures would be remembered by posterity.
This development follows Tuesday’s announcement where JMartins revealed the governor had authorized an initial installment of medical funding for the veteran actress, who has graced numerous Nollywood productions and remains an icon in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
