Veteran Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, famed as 2Baba, has shed light on Faze’s position in the prolonged tension between him and fellow ex-Plantashun Boiz member Blackface.

The feud, spanning over a decade, stems from Blackface’s repeated claims of unauthorized use of his creative works—an accusation 2Baba has vehemently refuted.

During his headline performance at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi, the Afrobeats legend clarified to the audience that Faze remains uninvolved in the conflict.

He emphasized the third member’s neutrality in the ongoing dispute.

“Everyone remembers Plantashun Boiz as Blackface, 2Face, and Faze. Though circumstances have kept Blackface away tonight, our issues don’t extend to Faze.

“Whatever differences exist between me and Blackface, Faze has no part in it. Tonight, he stands with me as we honor Plantashun Boiz together,” the singer declared.

The discord originated following the group’s dissolution in the early 2000s, with Blackface alleging 2Baba’s role in their breakup and creative disputes.

Despite mediation attempts, reconciliation between the two has remained elusive, with public exchanges reigniting tensions periodically.
